I finally got a fairly good photo of fujibotan's flower!! This is the only hosta I know of, other than several plantaginea descendants (Aphrodite, Venus, Yea), with double flowers. Fujibotan's flowers are lavender, not fragrant, and much smaller than 'Yea'. But there are lots of them and they are very beautiful. My clump has several scapes in bloom right now, but the flowers are down-facing and I wanted a photo to clearly show the doubling. So I had to hold the camera underneath and hope I would get a decent picture. I only got blurry results in a dozen or more attempts, and then I realized just before I deleted one of the photos, that I had accidentally caught the flowers on a smaller, hardly noticeable scape. So I cropped the photo to those 4 flowers and here is the result:
