Today Bob and I attacked the weeds. I was using the weed-eater and Bob the riding mower. The sections I did with the weed-eater have to be done again because the grass was very high. Need to rake and then use the weed-eater again. Next the beds in the front yard need to be weeded and prepared for fall planting. I have started a lot of sunflowers and put some in the ground only to find out that the rabbit was watching me and had a feast. Need to start more sunflowers.

I enjoy every work we do in the garden and tomorrow I plan to do more gardening with my granddaughter Andrea. She is learning gardening and loves to get her hands in the dirt.

I have started several kinds of cabbages, broccoli, dill, fennel and parsley along with some blue basil. I am still growing different kinds of peppers, beans and peas; and Mexican coriander.
