I am fascinated by this plant not only because the flower spray is beautiful but also the foliage is very interesting. The leaves are covered with hairs and they are very attractive too.

Tibouchina Grandiflora is one of my favorite plants and can be grown together with yellow flowers to make a great contrast. In zone 9a this plant suffers some frost damage but comes back as soon as temperatures are hot again.

I would like to add that in January 2017 this plant is still keeping its leaves. I know we will be getting cold days but in previous years this plant has died to the ground at this point in the year.
