I may not have many blooms left in my yard this late in the season, but I'm sure enjoying the bumper crop of ornamental shrub berries. Anyone else?

Those are gorgeous, Connie! Really love the Pagoda dogwood berries Lovey dubby

I have winterberries that are still green, but will turn a beautiful red in winter. I also have a beautyberry bush that is turning into a nice purply color.

Don't have any photos yet, but here are some from a few years ago.

Wow, that's such an unusual purple color, Vicki! Do the birds eat them?

June, I didn't get a single bud on my crab apple tree this spring. I think the tree decided to take the year off!

Yes, the birds love the berries. I think the purple in that pic is a little too dark. It is in the shade mostly, so it appears darker.

I Lovey dubby love Lovey dubby late summer/fall berries. Berry season at our house is just starting to come online. The birds have already eaten all of our V. dentatum berries. The V. dilatatums and V. trilobum are just coming ripe as well as our pyracantha hedge, Red Sprite, Winter Red, & Winter Gold winterberries. Other berries that are not ripe yet are photinia villosa, rose hips on KO rose, callicarpa dichomata, cotoneaster franchetii, Ilex 'Nellie Stevens', aronia arbutifolia, V. nudums, and cotoneaster apiculatus. I am especially excited to see the photinia villosa in berry because it is a younger plant and this is the most berries it's ever had on it. Most of our plants are little so the berries don't make a huge impact but when they get older it should look quite lovely.

Sounds like you are in for an explosion of color in a few years! That is great Thumbs up I have Winter Red winterberries and they are so big, we have to cut them back in the walkway. I hate doing that, but I had no idea they would get as big as they do. I plan on trimming the whole plant back come early next spring.

Yeah I planted ours in 2014 so they are only about 3'. I have two Southern Gentleman nearby that are getting crowded by vigorous Mohican viburnums. Hopefully they can hang on to pollinate the females.

Our hawthorns are absolutely loaded this year, they look like some sort of red tree until one gets close enough to see all the berries. (I'd post a pic but it's always a chore for me to transfer from my camera to computer and I am falling way behind.)

I hear you on that file transfer. I find myself taking more and more photos with my phone even though they are less megapixels. Then I can post right to the thread from the phone. I'll have to post some as I get them.

I'll have a bunch of nandina plants I can trade with folks this fall if anyone is interested. I started about 100 cuttings from different plants as I was out and about this spring. I don't have any names but some have fat leaves and some have skinny. Some have leaves that are mostly green while others had shades of yellow and red even in summer.

Nandinas a always a treat in the winter landscape. Not my thing but I do appreciate them.

I also forgot we have two symphoricarpos albus showing off white berries. I'll try to post some pics this weekend.
