Hi Everyone,

I would like to know if I can transplant my plants from a Hydroponic system with thick roots into the soil? The roots look sensitive as they are thick and bushy. Any advice?

Thanks

Hi Tam 😎😎😎 good Q.... As hot as it is where u at. I wouldn't till it cools off πŸ˜•some. Also what kind of plant.and how big. Try one. Call it your sacrificial pepper!!
It sounds big ? Aren't you gonna have a hard time getting the roots out of all thoughs rocks ? And big time damage to root hairs. Gonna be BIG TIME SHOCK 😬
Root exposure to air. Causes shock. So try to keep roots in water while πŸ˜•???
Hummm!!! Dee-Rocking them ! After
dee-rock. Have a bucket of water next to you. Lift da dude right into da bucket. Take him to her new pre-dug hole. Fill hole with water. Put er in it. And i think you know da rest. Oh !!! Don't forget da fish emulsion !
I cant get u-tube on my s-phone ( I believe S stands for stupid ) so didnt see no pics. Of u garden. 😫

It would be no different than planting a cutting you rooted in water. Make sure the soil you are planting too is thoroughly damp as dry spots will cause burned roots. Hold the plant at soil level in your pot and gently add soil around and through the roots trying not to break them up. After the soil is added, water thoroughly to pack the soil against the roots.

Are you using a non-soil planting medium in the hydroponic system? Clay pellets, rock wool, pebbles...? Or are they just in water?

I have another question actually. I cant find hydroponic fertilizer or nutrition for my system .Can I use Liquid Foliage fertilizer instead??

Thanks
