Is this a grasshopper? It looks different than the ones we normally see here in Ohio (zone 6b). It is about 2 inches long with big wings. It can fly pretty far, but it does not seem able to really fly in a straight line.

It's a katydid.

My first katydid! He was in our office. We took him outside and released him.
