I actually knocked off 5 buds, so am more careful now. Lots of buds everywhere, ready to come out. But will they !!!!!

Today I checked WYATT EARP. It had big buds, why haven't I seen blooms? It and the one next to it have scapes cut clean at a foot high. Strangely, other pots close to it have buds untouched. Wondering if possums are the culprits. Do possums eat buds Glen? Wonder if the rats that nibble my pumpkins and sweet potatoes are the culprits. But the high cut seems like wallaby work. Alarming as not far from the house.

My car had to be towed home tonight as the starter motor died. So just checked at 1:30am to see if the light purple (or dark lavender pink) T4 had fully opened or else collapsed. Neither. The petals look healthy and it has closed a lot as some flowers do. Looks as if it will re-open tomorrow is not hot and dry. Haven't seen one do that.

Gleni, I have a couple that approach the shape of that lovely yellow seedling- I like the color of it too, but it would have caught my eye in another shade..

Any plans for it yet? And is it fragrant?

Today a bloom on Orange Gold NOID, a bit smaller than the first. would do better in the ground as it wants to be a big plant.

The T4 had finished. But strangely VINTAGE BORDEAUX still has a sepal as crisp as any. It was cool last night with cold winds in the afternoon. But sun too hot now and UV is 10.

Love Little Liza Bron. I have only recently started looking at miniatures. I never know where to put them in the garden. I was putting them as borders but every time I extend the garden they end up in the middle.

Flowering for the first time this season.

DRAGON KING. It is a good bloom.

LINDEN CAPRICIOUS. I am suspicious about this one. It doesn't look caramel pink to me. I will see how other blooms do. Unfortunately my normally meticulous recording has let me down and I am unsure who sold it to me. It would have been one of those "I wont forget the seller anyway" moments. I fall for this every time even though I now have the short-term memory of a newt.

Lol. Thank you. Someone suggested a name in a light vein last year but I forgot to write it down.

Well, thankfully LINDEN CAPRICIOUS looks more like its description today.

The following is a first ever bloom. It was seed from a bee pod germinated four years ago. It is a blatant dormant in that it dies back completely in the cooler months. It has never flowered before. I have another dormant sibling (2012 115) that also has never flowered. (Sentiment is going to make me not good at this hybridizing endeavor).

I'm detecting the "Australian Dueling Daylilies" between Glen and Bron Whistling Whistling - I believe we're all winners when we get to see them! I just added Cool Runnings to my must have list (hope we can get it here) Green Mystique is definitely a winner in my book and I'll be checking on that one too Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Nice blooms, Gleni and Bron. I particularly like Green Mystique and Cool Runnings. REally nice edges on both of these flowers. Is this still early in the daylily bloom season for you? Just wondering. When is usually your peak bloom?

Gleni, did you ever find out the cause of your daylilies rotting?
