It looks marvelous (ebb tide) but unfortunately I can't seem to find it as a climber anywhere nearby. I'll keep looking though - it's an amazing color Drooling

Ghislaine de Feligonde gets big and wide! More cream peach for me.

I am always partial to warm peaches and yellows with lavenders and purples.

I adore Buf Beauty, more of a bushy plant but I have long arching canes, one up and over a trellis.

This is a pretty Noisette

I agree with your very many suggestions Suzanne! I can easily get hooked to Buff Beauty or William Allen Richardson: the former I might get cuttings, for the latter it may become a full world quest! Of course size and final color is also very local so I wonder what will become of my impending G. de Feligonde once they arrive and (hopefully) root, grow and flower...

Thank You! to all!
I have a climber from Ducher, 'Bouquet d'Or', coming along sloooooowly....but I also lost one from them too... and by the time you expect to see it, the following year, and finally nothing much happens, so you wait another season... I didn't go back to them to see what their policy on that might be. But they are a reference, for sure.
I do wish we had the climbing Ebb Tide, and I may just get myself the bush version nodding

The color combination is lovely with the peaches and cream tones! I think that will please my little lady as well. Again all my thanks!

It looks as though Buff Beauty has both a talent for reblooming and a lovely scent. I' ll just see that she doesn't put it too close to the door if it's the bushy type...

@Calif_Sue, I've just seen the rose 'Claire Jacquier' pop up in a search as well. Do you still have one and what do you think?

Ebb Tide doesn't come in a climbing variety, Mary, so don't waste your time looking for it. It's a small floribunda rose.

Here's an article with some more combinations you might like.

Aha for Ebb Tide - I still neeeeed one now, for myself, no matter the shape, I'm sure to find a spot.

And Yes, Zuzu, that article is actually what inspired me to ask! The clematis are named, but not always the roses, and the combinations are glorious. Until today I hadn't actually combined the two, with the exception of a small 'Niobe' I'm hoping will be happy with Reve d'Or, both still a bit young.
But now I have some great leads, and the color scheme is lovely with the soft-toned contrast. I'm just finding it hard now to choose, 'Buff Beauty' is tempting, as is 'William Allen Richardson', both of which I'll have no trouble finding. Big Grin

All of the roses are named in the text, Mary, even if the name isn't on the photo.

Niobe and Reve d'Or will look beautiful together!

Can anyone put a name on this rose? I bought it 2 years ago, from Chamblee, I think. Confused
I did order both Beverly and Pink Don Juan that year.

I rushed outside and took a lot of pictures this evening because a big hail storm is imminent. The picture quality is bad on all, sorry!

I don't have Claire Jacquier, never did @mbotanas, the caption on the photo in the database shows that the photo came from a vendor. I almost always add a caption and have added thousands of images from garden and nursery touring as well as getting permission from online vendors. Hover your mouse over the thumbnail images or enlarge them to see the captions. Thumbs up

@CindiKS definetly looks more like Beverly than PDJ but then I don't know what other Pink HT's Chamblee had on offer. Sometimes they get things mixed up Shrug! Right now I am trying to get a replacement for All the Jazz which I received instead of Dick Clark Smiling

This is one of those silly holidays. Today is National Teddy Bear Day, so the Rose of the Day is Teddy Bear, of course.

Cindi, could that be Belinda's Dream? I noticed the fine serration on the leaves and checked mine and its a match.

Another possible identifying factor: Belinda's Dream also produces very large dead heads - unique among my roses, at least.

Yes! I think you are both right! Thank you!
Today I weeded like a madwoman. In the last 36 hours, we've gotten 17.5" of rain...yes that's seventeen...and I'm able to pull out clumps of grass and weed trees with almost no effort.
I won't be able to plant for a while, though. The ground is pretty saturated.

I'm so glad we didn't get nearly that much here. Our roads were a mess again thanks to the rain but yesterday the graders came and graded and did a pretty good job of it so roads are in better shape again.

So far, about a dozen roses have been named in memory of the victims and heroes of the terrorist attacks of 9/11/2001. We have photos of four of them, and they are our Roses of the Day.

Firefighter honors the 343 New York City firefighters who died on that day.

Soaring Spirits honors the victims of the Twin Towers attacks.

We Salute You honors the victims of the Pentagon bombing.

Nicole Carol Miller was one of the heroes of Flight 93.

I agree I wouldn't hesitate to find a place for Firefighter and Soaring Spirits here.
