I know this had flowers last spring but I can't find any pics of them. I think they were white. Looks pretty zone 9, tropical or semi-tropical, all the foliage comes up from what appears to be a bulbous root.
You could have something there. I guess I really won't know until they bloom next year. I'll try to get the seeds to germinate, it could be something really cool knowing my taste in plants, LOL.
It could be another kind of amaryllis. I have lots of Amaryllis belladonna as they naturalize here, it's a little better looking/behaved and the leaves are shorter. You are right in that the seed pods are similar.

The flower seem come in panicle. It not fit into amaryllidaceae family which have flower arangement in umbel if more than one flower. So its not a crinum or amaryllis.
I am not sure what it is. Maybe a member of asparagaceae family ?
