I can't say yet as to its performance, only received it late this summer. However, it never missed a beat, it started greening up & sending up new growth almost as soon as I put it in the ground. It is now doing quite nicely.

I acquired 2 fans of Blue Moon Rising in April 2016. It is currently potted up. I also received 2 other small blooming cultivars from the same source at that time. The other two cultivars bloomed, but Blue Moon Rising has yet to bloom for me.

It had a very nice root system and is doing well in a pot, but will be transplanted this Fall into a raised bed. It has currently increased to 3 lovely fans. I hope to see it bloom next year!

Blue Moon Rising produced it's very first bloom today. It has increased from 2 to 4 fans since I acquired it in 2016.

This first bloom is a just over the 3" hybridizer's stats. Subsequent blooms may be more accurate in size to Salter's 3" size. Foliage looks good, so rust resistance is apparent.

I did not measure them, I will try to do that tomorrow. But just looking at them I have to guess they are smaller than three inches. The scapes vary a lot, some short some decently tall. The branching is also varied on my plants, the best were 4 way with just over 20 buds, but there were a lot of just three way branching with mostly 12 to 15 buds, and even just 2 way with fewer buds. I got my first fans from G.H. Wilde back on March 19th 2015. Now it has really multiplied and formed a very nice clump.

I am not a fan of small blooms, but this plant puts up a lot of scapes and puts out a ton of tiny blooms.

Blue Moon Rising has really settled in since I got it in 2016. I rarely think to check branching, but it blooms really well. It does not seem to bloom a long time though, it just has beautiful bouquets of blooms each day. I like when they last longer, but it is really nice in bloom.
