No Flowers on my Comtesse de Bouchaud

Victoriaville, Québec (Zone 4b)
I have six types of clematis—all very lovely. One of them is a Comtesse de Bouchaud in its third year. Last year I had loads of lavender pink flowers. This year I had lots and lots of leaves, but no flowers.
What gives?
