Way cool!

Reminds me of a tree House we saw at Mobot (Missouri Botanical Gardens, St Louis)

What does the inside of your hobbit house look like Cheryl? Is the 55 gallon drum lying on its side?

Thanks to everyone who sent an acorn and/or thumbs up! The inside just looks like an empty 55 gallon drum Blinking .Nothing fancy!! LOL and yes, it is lying on its side. The last photo shows the lid to the drum. This keeps out spiders, slugs, etc. Just be sure to add plenty of dirt to the sides and roof if you build one yourself. We braced the front of the drum a bit with a few broken concrete blocks, small rocks, old pieces of clay pipe we'd found and a few freshly cut logs that the neighbor had just sawed from an old pine tree. The drum wasn't cut at all , it's the whole 55 gallon so kids can climb inside
"My work is loving the world. Here the sunflowers, there the hummingbird — equal seekers of sweetness. Here the clam deep in the speckled sand. Are my boots old? Is my coat torn? Am I no longer young, and still not half-perfect? Let me keep my mind on what matters, which is my work which is mostly standing still and learning to be astonished." — Mary Oliver, from Messenger
