The shipping must have been a lot of work.

I just submitted my final Maryott order to receive the special gift, Prairie Splendor.

Sweet Cotton Candy and Seagull's Heaven, to fulfill $100 requirement.

Usually I do not name the gift plants, however, this time I asked for my favorite Maryott daylilies:

California Classic
Napa Valley Merlot
Private Reserve
Shiraz

I received my fall order from Maryott's on September 6th, which included

Parrots of the Caribbean
Ruffly Duffly Dude
Power Surge
Mineral Springs
Calamity Jane
Spanish Fiesta

He was nice enough to send bonus plants as well:

Janet and Bill
Born in California
Orange Grove
Hanalei Bay
Precious Stones

I thought that was my last order until I found out he was no longer shipping. I placed my final order last week which included,

Thomas Tew
Bright In The Night
Sailing at Dawn

I can't wait to see what bonus plants he sends my way this time!

I am glad many of us managed to put in our last orders before it was too late. I am really happy with what he sent me. Big Grin

I was adding my homemade (knife) plant markers to the pots of new daylilies and noticed that Thomas Tew has a new scape emerging from within the foliage. It had a big, thick half scape (that had been cut) when I received it. I was impressed with the thickness of that remaining half of the scape. This new scape is coming up right next to that old scape. (I easily removed the old scape remains.)

So it looks like I get to see re-blooms on Thomas Tew!!! Excited to see brand new blooms. Last year when I got my very first order from Maryott's, I had 2 of my favorite cultivars bloom soon after receiving them. I don't know what Bill does to them to get them to often bloom at their new homes in the Fall, but it is always a very welcome surprise!!! nodding

Thank you, Bill! (If you are ever reading this thread.) Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

Precious Stones which I received on September 6th, has a nice scape on it. I may see a bloom or two this season if the weather stays warm. Bill sends the best plants.

I'm glad so many of you got a chance to place another Maryott order. I already had a large order coming and just didn't have the space for any more. I'm anxiously awaiting my box, which should arrive this week.

I got my final Maryott's order on Monday. I got Mesmerizer and Charming Kayla as bonus plants. Mesmerizer was on my bonus list and Charming Kayla was not. I only ordered three plants and received two bonuses. Love Bill and Maryott's!

Just an aside about the sale of Maryotts to Schreiners Iris. I just ordered some Iris from Schreiners the other day and asked them about the daylilies. They haven't gotten the first batch in from Maryotts yet, I'm presuming because he's still taking orders. Since I'm concerned about rust I asked them how cold they got up in Oregon (pretty much knew the answer already) and it's not cold enough usually to kill existing rust. I know the one time I talked to Bill he said his area too was not cold enough to kill rust. So, if he has rust (and I know he sprays for it), it will go along with his plants to Schreiners.
Whether they plan on spraying for it or not I don't know. Some may not care about that, but others may be interested ............Maryl

I've split off the rust discussion to a new thread...
The thread "Rust and Summer Dormancy" in Daylilies forum

and am copying shive1's post that was in the rust mix back into the Maryott thread....

shive1 said:I got my Maryott yesterday. All except one of the plants were multiple fans rather than double fans. I received Born in Caliifornia, Private Reserve and Velvet Dreams as the bonuses. It's a great last order!

My last Maryott shipment arrived today. It is much smaller than the usual.
Bill sent me all four that I requested.

If he changes the special gift, I will order one more time.

I am sad. Sighing!

Gerry, I got one last order in as well. I thought my last final order was my last order, but it was not. I only ordered two this time..... Blaze On and Happy Happy. If he doesn't go ahead and close I may order again!

Thanks for posting this. I ordered once before from Maryott's - they have some very good prices on some nice ones - and so I decided to take a look and ordered 3 more that are arriving this week. He said he would some nice bonuses.

I ordered: Song Writer, Strikingly Dramatic, and Holy Guacamole. I can't wait to see what I will get as bonuses.
Have a Happy Daylily Day!!

Lynnette, I have scapes on two of my Maryott's that was ordered earlier this month. I got a nice scape with about six buds on Precious Stones and I spotted a small scape on Calamity Jane. I hope I get a bloom before the weather gets too cool.
