No buds, no flower heads, no appearance of any type of flower yet being September I thought I should be seeing flowers beginning am I doing something wrong?

South (Zone 8b)
I don't know what zone you are in. I am zone 8b and haven't had blooms in 3 years. I am going to cut them totally down when we have some cold.
