Local garden center had Diva's Choice on sale, does anyone have this plant? If so how does it grow and do you like it? Thx

I have it. It has done well, and bloomed this year after planting it late last summer. The bloom does not look like the photo on the tag. Mine has a very thin yellow edge, not the big ruffled edge shown in the photo. However, I do like it, it just doesn't look like the photo, at least not in my garden. I posted photos on the data base.

Thanks Valerie, I noticed that discrepancy between the tag and the one in the data base, always wonder was the tag enhanced or the plant did not measure up.

I did a search on the internet for Diva's Choice, and I saw mostly the picture on the tag that came with my plant. There is one other I found of a paler pink bloom than mine with a thin yellow edge. From what I see, I would think the tag is enhanced, since I am not seeing other gardeners post pictures that look like the tag. If it isn't expensive you could try it. I would be very curious to see what yours would look like!

This particular hybridizer is located in Europe ( Holland I think) and although I don't know about this particular cultivar, some of the cultivars from this individual have been tissue cultured in the past. Sometimes with TC you get variations. Also the light in some parts of Europe is different. I've seen images taken in some countries that don't look at all like what the cultivar does here. ( and some look exactly the same) Some of the pictures shown in this DB don't even look the same color as the registration data - purple instead of pink. The previous registrar told me he'd spoken with a family member a few years back when trying to complete some registrations ( either a family member or employee who spoke English best and did the registrations for the company) and that perhaps their understanding of the English language/ registration termnology had been an issue back around the time this was registered. The previous registrar attempted to work with these folks a few years ago. They were putting some of their plants into commerce w/o first registering them, or they were submitting the plants for registration with names that were blatantly in violation of registration rules ( and did not stand a change of being approved by the registration name committee). Then when the names were not approved, they would just put them in commerce anyway.
