Does the contributor get a notice (like they do with a thumbs up) when I post a copy of their photo into a thread using the DB code ?

I think it would be a nice to do if it does not.

Marilyn, I'm pretty sure we don't get notification when one of our photos is shared in a thread. I post database photos all the time and I have a feeling it would cause an awful lot of system messages if someone were notified each time one of their photos were shared.

I was trying to get the actual line from the photo database but realized afterward it went a head and pulled in the image.

I guess I will have to add a @NAME if I want to have them come to the post I make about their photo.

I'm pretty sure that when we add images to the NGA database they are for the use within this site by all the members so it would not be necessary to notify the person who added the image.
