Hello all,

I see these only at this time of year -- when the mint is in bloom. There are hundreds of these all over the various flowering mints in the garden. This guy is enjoying a rest on a Queen Anne's Lace seed head. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. :)

It looks like a tachinid fly but I don't know the species. There are some pictures on this page if you scroll down past the robber flies:
