Newton is headed right for us. Electricity goes off, then on, then off. Soon it will be off if things go as usual. Amazing it's still on. Got an email from Lisa Marie who lives up the hill and they are hunkered down. She said lots of people in town have evacuated - they are at a lower elevation. Another three hours until the worst is supposed to hit. My bedroom sprang a bad leak - I got a half barrel under it.

Dogs are still calm.

Will update as things happen if I can.

Katie the rain from that thing is supposed to start hitting Arizona later today and really slam us tomorrow with possible rain of 1-3 inches and winds at 50 mph. Crying We need the rain badly but not so violently. Sighing! Stay safe!

We've gotten lots of rain. The winds have picked up some. Bad leak in the front bedroom - lots of fabric will need to be dried out. No TV. I feel like I'm holding my breath. It's kind of scary but we are all staying calm - at least in appearance. katie

Roof leaks are no fun, I know. Being without power sure makes things worse. Hate being cut off from the world! I am sure it was and is scary. I am tense about what is heading our way as well. Heavy clouds now and moderate wind on and off, so far. No rain yet.
