Tate, more photos please. I love seeing how you grow your semps. And 'Hordubal' is one of my very favorites right now. I am thinking it may end up being a year round favorite.

Jo Ann, I love the way you teach me to see color. Love the color echoes.
This was an accident that I got the color echoes, but because of you I now look for this type of photo. Group hug

Lynn, I use echoes to compose my containers. Imagine my consternation when the semps change color duering the season as well as color changes depending where they are planted.
I just roll with it..

Maybe we should start a color echoes thread here. Echoes work isn't just for plants. They can be found in surrounding rocks and plant locations.

Tim, It's the same sedum.Tricolor. Its a great spreader. Stays greener in shade.
This is a different spot, part shade.

Jo Ann then it becomes echoes of the echo! Using the place in your brain where echoes are found in the form of memory, you see the plants as they are now and as they were!!
Love it Thumbs up
I tip my hat to you.

I hope sempervivum and jovi fans will start to look at their clumps this way.
I believe it enriches ones perspective.
Thanks Lynn.
Color echoes isnt original with me.
Years ago I read a book by Pamela Harper
http://www.goodreads.com/book/...
I use her principles when choosing plants of any kind.

T stepped out to take echoes and realized nearly all semps here are green now.
What a disappointment.
Here are a few.
Henry Correvon and Mary Ann tips.

Yes, it is 'Blute'. A great delosperma. It really is a deep purple like the above photo, but it is difficult to get the color to show in a photo, it wants to come out more the color of D. cooperii in most photos.

I just can't keep delosperma.Maybe they really like deeper soil than my tufas.
I have found my camera abuses the reds, I always have to edit color when processing.

This little delosperma plant has been in this tiny container for two years Jo Ann. I think it just depends on which delo you are trying to grow.

Mesa Verde is tough and blooms all growing season, as does cooperii and Blut. Many of the delosperma just have a short blooming season and are done for the rest of the year.
