Long ago I smelled the Kool-Aid Grape fragrance of the Iris Dalmatica. That memory stayed with me for years, and I searched for another Iris with that strong fragrance. At Eagle Creek Iris Nursery, which existed in the 90's near Nelson, B.C., I finally found a wonderfully strong Grape fragrance in this Iris, Southland Grape. I hope others can find it available somewhere. It is really a joy to have.
