My bear paws succulent (cotyledon ladismithiensis) has recently shown a strange discolored patch on a few of its paws - any idea what could be causing this? It sits in my windowsill and receives indirect sunlight every day, I water it once a week (when the soil gets dry), and I use a fertilizer formulated for succulents. Is this just normal, as the weather gets colder? Thanks in advance!

Over-watering?

By indirect sunlight, do you mean the sun does not hit the plant indoors, through the window? Only reflected off of other surfaces?

How much fertilizer are you using and how often?

I'm not really sure how to describe it - there's an overhang outside of my window, so the sun never shines through the window. Light still comes through, though.

It's succulent fertilizer from Miraclegro, and I've given it about two pumps in the month I've had it (on different days).

Any other windows available with more light? Most succulents are not great house plants if they don't get a dose of daily sun.

I'm not sure what the final dosage is with the pump they supply for succulent plant food, but if it's anything like the dosage they recommend for their regular granulated product, you're giving a lot of fertilizer. Are you using the foaming product? Are you watering it in afterwards? I would avoid feeding for a while actually until your plant is healthy again.

Over watered, over fertilized, and not enough sunlight. I water my bear paws about 1-2x a month and they are outside with direct morning light.
