Thread OP

These Adenium seedlings germinated after four days, and now they are two weeks old. they are pinkish /white and I am not sure if they will survive because the lack of chlorophyll. What have I done wrong? Is it a mutation? Will they survive? Thank you in advance.

I love these little guys, but unfortunately most do not survive. The only advice I can give is to baby the mess out of it. No direct light--just filtered bright indirect, bottom water it, and pray. I have heard that if they survive to a certain size that they can be micrografted to a root stock or another Adenium, but I have never seen this work successfully anywhere.

Good luck! Welcome to NGA! Keep us posted on your growth Thumbs up

I have grown something like 400 seedlings over the last couple of years and have seen these mutations. None of the ones I had survived. I agree, the lack of chlorophyll will not sustain them.

Oh my! Your very first were mutants? Hey, chin up...your next ones should be okay from then on. Crossing Fingers! I have a pair of seed pods growing right now. When they ripen I would be glad to send you seeds. Angel
