It's so good to have a dedicated mg forum!

Here are some I have been growing this summer; every day now is a nice show.

Joseph, those are beautiful; I especially love the one named 'Azumashibori'. Oh my ... those pink flecks! Lovey dubby

Linda, the Grandpa Ott looks so pretty growing up that Texas Ranger bush! The deep purple against those gray leaves must be truly stunning. I also love Texas Sage (Leucophyllum frutescens 'Green Cloud') but have never had any luck keeping one alive for some reason. Sad

I do absolutely nothing for my Texas Rangers, Lin. I even have them volunteering around the yard and those have started blooming. They seem to love our miserable hot dry weather and yes the contrast with the Grandpa Ott's was really nice. Lovey dubby

Maybe we have too much moisture and humidity for them to do well here. Sighing!

A few years ago I grew quite a few MG's but the last few years I haven't been planting them. I do have quite a few volunteers and this year we have been letting them loose to wander all over. This was a real surprise, never seen one like it here. Going to try and collect seeds from it if I can. Got to take a better look at them Ric say's they are doubles but I'm not sure if they are doubles or split.

I wish I had better pics of them will have to look around and see what I can find growing tomorrow.
The color of them is so much more beautiful than shows in the pic.

Holly they tend to split and feather, almost a shredded look. I'll post some of the ones I've had tomorrow.

Thanks I use to have a pink split petal years ago and I wandered if somehow these were a cross from those but it has been at least 3 yrs or more ago that I grew them.
These are growing in an area of Ric's Veggie Garden that he is finished with and has let go.
