Hi Ed,
I don't really know if I can help you or not I'm pretty new here too!

The white spots could be caused by a build up of salts in your medium, you might need flush your medium with feesh clean water (not tap water)
The lumps could be caused by too much humidity (Edema)

There's a houseplant forum here you can join! I'm sure there's lots of jade fans there that could help you.

You could try the cactus and tender succulent forum also.

Hi Ed, Welcome! to NGA

I think most of us haven't answered because there are way too many questions:

Is this an indoor or outdoor plant?

If it spends any time outdoors or near open doors or windows, where do you live?

How long since you have repotted? What kind of soil is it in?

Are the leaves soft or hard? Have you noticed any soft spots on the stem near the soil line?

How much sun does your plant get? Have you moved it recently? Changed how you care for it?

Can you back up and take photos of the entire plant including the pot?

How long have you owned it?

Anything else you care to share that might help us help you?

I sure hope the plant does not have scale bugs. One of the pix gave me goosebumps, as a dentist I worked for years ago had a huge beautiful jade plant and it got scale and he fought it and sprayed it and sprayed, but it finally killed that lovely plant. I have since found out that scale bugs hate coffee grounds, so put them around your plants and protect them from this pest
