Am sharing pics of flower beds, and, singular pots etc from this growing year, which, is fast leaving us
I was fortunate enough to have been gifted with a 'Garden Bike' .. it was my first attempt at planting on it, the results have been sort of OK .. next year I need more VAVOOM
The bike needs colors that contrast with it. Lime green sweet potato vines and some coleus with different colors of foliage are some options. The pot with the purple foliage is very striking.

Marilynne-- beautiful plants and blooms! Nice vibrancy in your photos!
Like the pink bike! I think heavenly blue morning glories would look nice with your bike. Amanda's suggestions would look nice too! May this month be a joyful one!
One to take to heart....1 John 4 ..............................................Where there is smoke...there is fire...in most cases the smoke will kill you long before the fire consumes you. Beware of smoke screens! Freedom is not free and when those who have not paid the price or made the sacrifice...think that only they are right and entitled to speak...they bring us tryanny.

LOVE the colors in that hibiscus!
Super cute bike, and a great first attempt at planting. I see nothing wrong with it, but if I wanted to rev it up next year, I would think about fireworks pennisetum to echo the pink and maybe combine that with purples and chartreuse/light green foliage --coleus or potato vines. And perhaps just a hint of a pale yellow. I would like some stuff hanging down and draping the bike a bit. And I might use brightly colored pots too. But that's my taste and my guess, and I never know if I chose the right stuff until afterwards

Old gardeners never die. They are just pruned and repotted.

I'm not that far south of you...already watching for frost...ugh.
I have a love-hate deal going with petunias. They look great for awhile, need constant attention, and look terrible by midsummer. Or maybe I just don't know how to properly care for them?
