Does anyone recognize this plant, possibly a vine, which is growing in northern Virginia (zone 7)?
The seed pod is at about 6 inches long.

Someone said it might be Campsis radicans (Trumpet Vine), and I tend to agree even though the leaves are so damaged that it's hard to confirm by using them for comparison. I asked my daughter, in whose yard it's growing, to take photos of more leaves or compare them with C. radicans.

Could also help if your daughter could look at some pics with the flowers and try to remember if the ones on her plant looked alike.
I also think it may be trumpet vine.
