Thread OP

We just moved into a house where the previous owners moved out and the yard (except for mowing) has been unattended for about 4 months. I found these growing on the east side of the house . I don't recall seeing these before. They look like mini cypress trees with little flowers. We are located in northern Indiana.

Unfortunately your photos do not enlarge for me, but someone may recognize the plants anyway. It always helps to tell us where in the world they are growing.

As the post says: northern Indiana. I'll take a straight on shot of them, maybe that will help. Thanks.

It's difficult for my old eyes to see the small photos but I wonder if it could be seedlings of Santolina? http://garden.org/plants/brows...

I'm sorry, Fabius, apparently I bleeped over your mention of northern Indiana. Did Lin nail it?

A pic with the blooms open would help tremendously.
The foliage somewhat resembles a Dalea I have....
