I've never adequately thanked everyone for your plants and cuttings. I was just outside checking my plants and harvesting seeds (should be getting ready to go to work) when I noticed I have an absolute monarch butterfly factory in operation in the front yard. These catapillers are huge! Thanks to whoever gave me the plant which is now plants. If anyone wants seeds I just harvested gobs, they're a lovely pink. Next year I hope my white one will flower. I also have heirloom Cleomes (pink) that grow to atleast 5 feet and some Oleander seed pods and Hardy Hibiscus (pink) and Datura (double purple) and a lovely pink fragrant Echinatia. If anyone wants seeds let me know.

Life is "mind over matter". If I d
I,probably have 2 cups-full of Cleome seeds....

Many others in lg. quantities.....
The biggest cache of seeds I have are the Wintersweet Seeds--easily a pound or more.
Not the quickest nor easiest to propagate. Most of these are a few years old by now...

Hurray! for monarchs and happy plants!

Do you know if it's swamp milkweed (Asclepias , which doesn't actually need a swamp) or A. syriaca or ?

Asclepias. I really like the plant. I'm planning on expanding the front garden and would like to get at least one in every color.

You might check to see what Santa Rosa has left... I think they're still doing that 30% sale and $5 flat rate shipping

Meira, you're probably on their email list, but I figured I'd post anyway... I checked on Santa Rosa, and it's 20% off now (SEPT20 is the code), with $4.95 shipping and free ship for orders over $75. Love their new website!

For Iris lovers, I think the PNW "extras" sale starts tomorrow. The list (with loads of drool-worthy photos) has already been posted. I say I'm not looking, but if anybody is planning to get a box, I'd go in on a couple and chip in for shipping (just don't want to fill a box -- this time). http://cubits.org/irisforum/th...

oops, realized I'm still on yehudith's thread... will repost elsewhere, too!
