I've used Colorblends for the last 3-4 years, have always had great luck with them, large bulbs, fair prices. Never tried the bulb blends, not enough sun and I like them to make it for a few years.

Hi all. I'm the lady with the mixed species tulip bulbs. HERE is a photo of the mixture, sorted as best I could:
Thumb of 2016-10-29/Cayuga/ec5c46

They are:
TULIP clusiana var. chrysanthemum
T. da system on
T. humiliation viola near
T. Little Beauty
T. saxatilis
T Taco
T. clusiana Tina
T. turkestanica
Someone (I'd have to scroll back to see who it was & I am using my cell so this is not easy to do, forgive me) suggested that a mix can be pretty so I think what I will do is plant separately the bulbs I can distinguish & then just throw the others in together & hope for the best!

Oh my I just previewed my photo. IT does not look at all helpful.

I've now planted 28 pots to force - 3 amaryllis, 18 daffodils, and 5 tulips. The refrigerator has 10 pots at present; the rest were finished last night and will be given a week of root growth initialization before joining the others in the dedicated refrigerator. The 3 amaryllis are upstairs already.
I planted 5 alliums in the garden a couple of days ago.

Thanks Crawgarden & Marilyn. I will look for Colorblends next year.

I have ordered 9 amaryllis bulbs for x-mas gifts. When should I pot them up? I will be mailing most of them so I would like just a bit of green emerging, obviously not a flowering stalk!

This year, I am going to force some bulbs again after a few years hiatus. I have no fridge for forcing and I was looking for jmorth's post where he put the pots in totes and put them under a covered porch or something. I couldn't find it. I'd like to try that method. I have some paperwhites, hyacinths and daffs to force. I can force the paperwhites in the basement but the hyacinths and daffs, I think they needed colder temps. Jmorth, would you please share your forcing techniques with me? Thank you in advance.
