Can anyone recommend shade-loving flowering plants that will form a nice hedge in USDA hardiness zone 9B?

The 'shade loving' part is going to be hard. Maybe others in your part of the world have some ideas.
I would think Azaleas could fit the bill, but not sure if they will form a sufficient hedge.
