This plant is a good 6ft tall + Amaranth maybe ? Many here look like the Amaranth near the Buckwheat family ,

I think it is a Pigweed reddish brown bloom has me confused
In the Butterfly garden if a plant is not chewed up I feel like a failure

Curly leaf dock has a similar flower stalk...not sure that the leaves are quite right though?

I have a few of the Dock Rumex species . This is more like an Amaranthacae

Spiny Amaranth has a red stem the stem and stalk on this plant is entirely yellow green .
In the Butterfly garden if a plant is not chewed up I feel like a failure
