I don't see a cultivar 'Purpureum' for S. spathulifolium http://garden.org/plants/searc... but did find a Spanish Stonecrop (Sedum hispanicum 'Purpureum')

edited to say: We need an entry S. spathulifolium 'Perpureum'

edited again to correct my spelling.

Sedum spathulifolium var. purpureum is a synonym for Sedum spathulifolium subsp. pruinosum.

Just found this thread. The above photos do not look correct for Sedum spathulifolium subsp. pruinosum.
The photos look more like one of the Phedimus spurius, formerly Sedum spurium.

What source do you use for taxonomy? The Plant List and Plants of the World Online list S. spurium as the species and P. spurius as the synonym. (By the way, I just noticed that, according to these sources and MOBOT, the whole moving of tall Sedums to Hylotelephium has been reversed.)

NGA has been using Catalogue of Life http://www.catalogueoflife.org...

Hylotelephium: http://www.catalogueoflife.org...

@zuzu can explain further.

Not "reversed." The information provided by those other sources is outdated. The Plant List, in particular, has not been updated since 2012. The Catalogue of Life was last updated in September 2017.
