Hey all, I've been trying to find out what tree this is. Can anyone help me? The fruit is a brown leathery skin that once removed is a small but that is almost exactly like the peas used in split pea soup, even splits in half like that.

Where is this plant located? It looks like Biwa. Hmm... excuse me... it looks like Loquat.
Oh and to NGA

Knowing what part of the world the tree is growing should help narrow it down. I also thought the leaves resembled Ficus saussureana but I don't know what the seeds look like for that one. https://www.google.com/search?...

The fruit is a little past its prime. They should have been picked last spring.
