Got up at 6:30 this morning to go out and check the chickens. Walked out the door in my robe and 34 degrees hit me in the face. Woke me wide awake. Then I remembered we don't have chickens. The bed was still warm.

Rolling on the floor laughing that was a really good one Charley!!!
Went down to 34F last night, no frost yet. Sunny and windy all day, the air was cold but the sun is still warm. Suppose to be colder tonight...then warm up a little over the week.

Know what you are talking about Signet, I redid several beds this year...what a project and I don't even have sow thistles.

The weatherman was right on, raining this morning. So glad I managed to get some weeding done over the weekend.

We had a bit of a dust storm yesterday. I have never seen a dust storm around here before. That's how bad the drought has become.

They are calling for a high of 103F. That's means it will be 105F or above at my place. It is getting to that time of year where my part of the country is the hottest place in the U.S.

The big winds hit here at 3:05 last night. I was awake so checked the time. Blinking Pots down all over the yard this morning. Heavy clouds but only a few spritzes. Wind stopped for a while then resumed. Crying

In spite of temps down into the low to mid 30's the day lilies are still in bloom- or rebloom( some re-rebloom). Many are putting up new scapes, and lots of developing buds. I always appreciate optimism! Here's a few I found in bloom this morning.

It was a lovely day here, although a bit on the windy side, mostly sunny, 70f degrees. It was a good day to work in the garden, which I did. Big Grin

We had 33F this morning. Last night before going to bed it was only 64 inside so I turned the thermostat up to 62, heard the furnace kick on later around 1am. Warmed up outside this afternoon to mid 60's and won't be as cold tonight because it is going to cloud up and rain tonight into tomorrow.

Sounds perfect Margaret!

Those blooms look great Keith, as cold as it was up here this morning... I'm surprised at how well they opened. There were a few here too, Master of Disguise, Diamond Diva and a few seedlings. Broke my camera Sunday Grumbling Crying and spent most all day today trying to find a new one. Cameras have changed some in the past 6 years.... Blinking

It rained last night, and today I did not have to water any plants. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing, the temperature never went above 62°.

I brought my new daylily seedlings in the kitchen to place each in its own pot, and I placed all seedlings in the greenhouse.

It was a very pleasant day, and I do have chickens, which I fed and gave fresh water.

It's sunny this morning but a chilly 53 degrees. Hoping it warms up so I can weed again before all the rain comes the rest of the week.

Beautiful pictures, Keith

I don't know what the temperature was, but it didn't feel like it got above 100F yesterday. They are calling for a high of 93F today.
