Thread OP

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help identify what this plant is. I did some research around, and the fruit/nut looks like Hickory, but the leaf-type doesn't match any sort of Hickory leaves I could find in my research. I live in southern Michigan, if that helps. Hope someone can help me out,
