The plant is a juniper. It was planted this year.
I've noticed it now has some grey-blue stuff on the main branches (and even some leaves, though only those close to said branches). Pretty sure it wasn't there before. It can be scraped off.

Any ideas as to what it is and what, if anything, should be done, are welcome.

It looks like mildew. Are you having an especially wet/humid summer?

Hello, not a particularly humid one but surely the coldest in at least a decade. Only the beginning of July and the beginning of September resembled actual summer. These plants are in the most sunny location, though.
