Lestv said:If you see the banner only when you open a thread, and it doesn't list what the day's banner is anywhere within that page (it used to list "todays banner is "this" by "who"), do you have to go to the site banner forum every time to find out?

At the moment that's not on the site, so yes for now the only way to know is to go to the site banners forum. I'll see what can be done about that, though.

@dave I really like the new design. I can more easily find what I'm looking for now. But I thought I should let you know the customize feature doesn't seem to work on my iPhone. The box to add columns is over some text, the 2 green arrows don't point to anything and I can't seem to select anything to drag and drop it. I'm not bothered because like I said, I can find what I want but I thought I should let you know.

I am using an iPad

I went to custimize and I cleared the page ..no toe dipping for me..jump in is how I roll...

I added Columns ..and those populated as 2,3,4

I held my hand down over the forum I want to move into the first empty box...but it won't drag. I tapped on it..I "steady" held it and tried to drag.. ..I pulled and slid ( attempted anyway ) but I cannot get it to slide. Is there some area I have to engage to tell it that I am ready to drag from left to the column boxes at the right?
Don't squat with yer spurs on!

People try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved

Thanks.

I also found that in the settings you can display the banner different ways so now I have it at the top of the forum as well as in the threads. Hurray!

I am not sure how to send you a screen shot in Google.

In order to use the customize feature, you must be on a device with a mouse. Touchscreens don't have the ability to click and drag as far as I know.

What you can do is use a desktop to customize it. Then when you come back using your iphone, the customizations will still be there.

I am watching several threads, but they don't appear at the top of the Forums list any more. Is this feature gone, and do we have to go hunt for our watched threads each time we visit?

I really liked having the forums appear on the Home Page instead of having to go find them. But I guess that's just how I use the site.

Mayo, thanks for posting that screenshot.

Do you not have any icons on the top right of your screen? An envelope, bell, and a person icon?

Dave, I was able to customize my homepage without any problem, but I was just getting ready to ask about where I set my preferences, see my tree mail, etc - can't seem to find it anywhere, then noticed your comment to mayo a few posts above this one:

"Do you not have any icons on the top right of your screen? An envelope, bell, and a person icon?"

I don't have any of those icons at the top right of my screen.

I have been using this for a couple of days now and while at first it's a slight shock to see everything rearranged, I REALLY love it! That menu bar at the top, so handy! Always stays in place no matter where you are in a thread. Thumbs up Did a bit of real estate moving for my customization of my Home page and it took me a few tries to get the hang of how to set things in the ideal spot, but it's a great feature!
