Dave is amazing when it comes to listening to what we all want. He goes above and beyond! I'm sure that he'll fix the color issue if or when he can. It seems to be one of the most complained about things. Overall though, I think this has gone really smoothly, and he was working out the bugs as soon as they were reported. I can't imagine any other site with that kind of service! Just that fact that he cares whether or not we're happy with something is truly amazing to me.

I love being tracked by ads. Glare The underwear ad is for Deluth Trading Company. I actually searched their site a couple of months ago for a shirt for my husband, but I never even looked at the underwear! Apparently they noticed that I missed that section, so I'm being stalked. Hilarious! I wonder what ad will show up next?

Couldn't have said it better, My NC Friend ~ I tip my hat to you.

Are some of you still finding the background of the site to be "white" and harsh? This is my first visit since the changes and for me, the background is a lovely pale dove grey and not at all harsh on my eyes. (Maybe Dave already changed it?)

If you're still having trouble with the background being too white or bright, have you tried adjusting your monitor's brightness and contrast settings? In the evening, make sure you're not viewing your monitor in a completely dark room too as that's hard on your eyes.

I think that Dave changed it after many people said that they were having trouble with the bright white background.

I hope that Dave will move the thread to the center. It will balance out the gray space alot.

I believe Dave made the change as it is much easier on my eyes. I am sure he will continue to tweek things as needed. I am getting use to the new design which I am sure was a lot of work because of all the options available to us.

I managed to get the threads away from the left side by activating the bookmarks list which is sited along the left margin and pushes the threads to the right - that's on an iPad. I added a link to the NGA forums list to the bookmarks so now I have my left side navigation back Smiling On a laptop can you not resize (shrink) the browser window and move it to the right on the monitor so that it is easier to read?

I'm finding that the pale blue text of visited links is somewhat hard to read.

Oh yes. Thank you for that Sue. I resize my screen so that only the thread page is showing and then I move it to the center. That helps out alot. Thank You!

Mine's like that too, for the section with the 4 columns only so I may have to edit it again to show only 2-3 columns. If I turn it sideways though, it's fine.

I was over in Site Talk earlier and saw that the list continues to grow. Dave must be really busy behind the scenes trying to get to everything.
The light grey is much easier on the eyes.
Happy to hear there is a solution for some to the left side problem. If I try to narrow the window it makes the grey home bar drop down further and by the time I get the thread column center all the link tabs disappear. I think I'm getting used to it being on the left so if a solution isn't found I can live with it.
My big question is... anyone else noticing the images in the forums all look blurry? Both the thumbnails and thread images
(some thread images look fine if I click to enlarge them Confused ) and also the database images.

It's such a light gray that it appears white to me most of the time. But I can tell it's gray when there's something to give a direct comparison. One of the easiest for me are the page number blocks. The way I have mine set, this thread has four pages and the 4th page block is highlighted with a white background and I can see that the main background is gray rather than white. If I'm reading someone's post that isn't highlighted and is the same color as the background, it all looks white.

I sincerely hope that Dave gives us the option to change our background color. It is still bothering my eyes. Sticking tongue out
