Okay, but I don't like change - at first, anyway.

Was it because of the white space on either side of screen?

Have to admit it was quite a surprise when I logged on. Still feeling my way around. Of course I have the advantage of being a new user anyway and so was still feeling my way around.

As a one time computer worker bee (I would say 'whiz' but am too modest), it's never easy to make changes. Especially ones that please everyone. So I'm going to take a little time before I start crabbing.

But wait! Did I read that there's white on both sides? Either I'm excluded from that feature or (more likely) I misunderstood what you meant.

Joan, the white on both sides has already been changed. He shifted everything to the left, leaving the white only on the right side. All that white area would be great to block in with NGA photos if there was a way to do that.

Thanks for letting me know. I've been so busy telling lies chatting that I've just got to get off this website for awhile.

So here's what worked for me. I use my old Android tablet 90% of the time to look here. But you can't customize your home screen from a tablet, so I went to my computer logged in and using the mouse dragged and dropped things around. Then using my tablet I refreshed the screen there and saw what any changes looked like. It took me about 30 minutes of fiddling around to get it to look right on the tablet. If I was using a computer to access the site I wouldn't like how it looks, but it is perfect on my tablet now.
Hope this offers others some ideas to configure what they want to see on their devices

Once I win the war I'm having with the mighty Triumvirate aka Yahoo ('we were hacked in 2014 but didn't think anyone would care until now' company), AT&T (the 'we leave all that techie stuff to Yahoo' company), and Apple (the 'we're just innocent bystanders even tho we have updated our systems for desktops and phones to make things more complicated' company), then I will begin to update my home screen. Sounds like fun, she says skeptically.

One good thing about procrastinating a little is that most if not all issues will be resolved and more people will have posted comments about what they did to soup up their home screens.
