Thanks, Jim. I need to change the Blc. and knew to do that last year. I'm slow. I now have a half dozen of these and every one blooms consistently. The fragrance won't develop until the flower(s) is about 5 days old. That intense lime will slowly change to lemon yellow over a three week period.

I'm impressed with the number of buds on my orchids. Hopefully, some of them will be still blooming or open the first week of November. Our orchid club has been invited to do a display at the local museum. An AOS judge will be there to tell us what we are doing wrong - that is enough to make me stay home. I grow orchids for my own enjoyment and I don't need an expert telling me that my plant looks like crap.

Case in point: Stellamizutaara Kelly 'Lea' has been living with me since 2004. Its in its third pot - I know that because the first two are still in there. Smiling

There are 3 or 4 more bloom stalks still coming up.

How very nice, so many blooms!!! Thumbs up
You know I do that too at times, pot into pot into pot!! Sometimes you just don't want to break off all those nice attached roots.

Wow, your 'Kelly Lea' looks really happy. And gorgeous! I do the same thing with my slat basket plants - just pot them up into the next size of basket after giving them a brisk hosing to remove any loose stuff.

I agree on the judging thing. I will never show my plants. I know they're not perfect but I enjoy them with all their flaws.

Are all of you leaving Florida in preparation for Matthew? I guess its Alice we should worry about out there on her flat little island.

No worries about Alice. She's already at her son's in Asheville NC. Jim, Lindsey, Patty and I are all on the west coast so we're maybe going to get some gusty winds and rain tonight but not really in danger.

One of my Vanda orchids is in bloom. Hurray! I bought two of them on my Florida vacation last November. I hope @drdawg doesn't mind that I took his idea with the Spanish moss which I got in Florida too but I didn't have to pay for that I just took it off some trees Whistling I hope that someday they look as good as his.

It's gorgeous, Heath. Good growing there! I have a Tokyo Blue too but it is a baby and hasn't bloomed for me yet.
