@Dave,

I have a problem with the font being used for all of the drop-down menus. I have the same issue with any site using the Google APIs and bootstrap.

You will notice in the example below that the font in the menus is broken up, kind of like the old typewriters and printers where the ribbon was getting dried out.

Thumb of 2016-10-02/RickM/b644d0

The characters aren't fully formed until I bump up the browser to a 14pt font for them. My monitor runs at 1920x1080. I don't know if it's being caused by the Google APIs or the Font Awesome style sheets or if there is anything that can be done.

Thanks!

My monitor is also set to 1920x1080 and I don't seem to be having that issue -- if that helps in any way.

Mike, check out this page, and see if it has some info that can help with your font rendering issue:

I guess I'm out of luck. I run Windows 2000 and Firefox 12. It looks like a rendering issue with FF.

Thanks anyway.

Any chance of upgrading to a newer browser? Firefox 12 is pretty old.

My Firefox is 49.0.1

My Windows is 10 version 1607 for x64-based systems. I get automatic "updates" to Windows 10 fairly frequently. The most recent was only a few days ago.

Windows 2000 has been "dead" for quite some time, and this coming Oct 31st is said to be the official "dead date" for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, whatever that means.

Yes,, it is. But I have custom software and Photoshop installed on the Windows 2000 machine that either won't run on the newer OSs or it's too bloody expensive to replace. (Photoshop in particular.)

I have a laptop that I use for the more current stuff, but there's something about using a 15" screen when there's a 23" sitting right next to it Smiling

It's no big deal. I'm used to things in life being out of focus! Rolling on the floor laughing
