I believe your watched threads are shown on the home page and now you can customize the home page to have them appear where you'd like them. There is no email notification like there is for Tree Mails (if you have that selected in your settings). I'm no expert on this, I primarily visit the forums and just look at forums/threads where there is a new post marked from when I last looked, so I by-pass the home page for the most part.
