Everyday this cutie ( squirrel) gets up in this tree and he looks down at the ground where there is nothing I see anyways, but he screams and screams at nothing! What the heck is this guy doing? Lmao! I just love him although I do wonder if this is stressful to him.. anyone got any thoughts?
I was told that they are a lil crazy/ fun to watch. Lol because a chemical in the nuts they eat is somewhat like weed we smoke or some people smoke. Lol I have always found this amusing and I often get a great laugh at them. There is a very large park across the street from where I live , id say about 3 miles long, couple baseball fields , dog park , walking trails etc. in the spring when you drive through there's dozens and dozens of bunnies! Now in the fall there's dozens of squirrels. They both tend to linger over here to the development .

If you were close enough he might have been screaming at you. I always got screamed at when weeding a particular flower bed near a pine tree and the squirrel would be up in the tree hurling verbal abuse at me. He'd stop if I moved away and start up again if anyone went near his tree. They're also burying nuts for winter so maybe you were near his cache.

Interesting , I didn't think of him yelling at me and that makes some since because there wasn't anything on the ground under him . Idk but it's very funny to very cute sometimes lol

I get them at my end too where squirrels sit on my garden wall screaming. I think its more of a mating call.
