Hi all!

For those having a hard time or you are new to this, perhaps this will help. I've included pics to help guide you.

Step 1:
Thumb of 2016-10-12/KarenHolt/a47132

Click on "manage your own swap". You will only be able to do this if you have previously joined the swap.

Step 2:
Thumb of 2016-10-12/KarenHolt/9117ae

Click on "add a new item to your swap list"

Step 3:
Thumb of 2016-10-12/KarenHolt/ccd137

Add your plant/seed info. If your item is already listed in the plant section, it will turn into a drop down list. If it has not been added to the plant list, you will have to just type the name of your plant in. Make sure to fill in as much info as possible.

Step 4:
Thumb of 2016-10-12/KarenHolt/f4a902

After you have finished entering your information, click on add new plant. This page should be what you see next. Click on the "view your list" link.

Step 5:
Thumb of 2016-10-12/KarenHolt/d6d3f0

You should now be on a page that shows what you just listed. You now need to make sure you click on the checkmark by the item you listed. This way it will turn green and everyone else in the swap can see what you have to offer.

* A small note. In this picture there are currently 2 swaps that I'm in. This is why you are seeing 2 checkmarks beside the entries. If you are only in one swap, you will only see one set of checkmarks beside your entry.

I hope this helps. If there is something I can be a bit more informative about, let me know.

ok, the seeds that I added showed up in my swap list. I was getting thrown off cause it still says I have 0 item for trade, which I take it is a seperate issue. Smiling PS I will be adding pictures along with what I have. its just that I use my digital camera as it takes better pictures then my phone.

Good so far: they are in YOUR Swap list, but not yet "in the combined swap list"

Jim is right, you'll need to check the green check-mark.

You'll also need to mark them "Ready", and enter a # of packets offered, and also check the big green check mark.

Is there any way for us to know when folks add our offerings to their wish lists?

Leslie, do you mean if they have rated them with stars?

If so, the answer is no, but it's a good question. Rick and I had a discussion about this the last swap and agreed it was probably for the better for a few different reasons. People might take it personal if they could see what their offerings were rated. There could also be confusion when someone rates something 5 stars, but then doesn't end up claiming dibs on it (I've done that a number of times for various reasons). It also might give too much insight into which items will be claimed first and shift the way people claim dibs the first few nights. I think there was another reason or two that I'm missing, but I think the point comes across nonetheless. While it would be neat to see how people rate each item, it could be misleading and possibly embarrassing or sad for some members. Shrug!

Right now, the best way to get an inkling of what people are looking for and interested in is to view the wish lists in the wish list thread. I hope that helps! Smiling

If you click on View recent events for this swap you can see what was added recently.
I viewed all the list and starred what I like. Now I just view the recent events and don't have to go through all the lists again.

Exactly, Luvs, I agree!
This makes it so much easier to keep on top of who is adding what, rate what you want the most, etc. and keep up in general before the swap begins! I think this feature is great!

I think that I'm going to cry. I was looking over the full swap list and decided to just look for my own. It said I don't have seeds being offered for this swap. I swear I have entered seeds I have for this swap. OK not a ton, but I listed at least ,12 different flowers. It also says I have no trade items, how do I change that? D'Oh!

Colleen, @agoo , I see that you have ten seed packs in your list, which means you have entered them, you just need to activate them for this swap. Go back in your seed list by clicking on "Manage your own swap list"...from there, if you have grey checkmarks next to the items, click the checkmarks to make them green ('green for go'). If you don't see any checkmarks, then there are two steps you need to take: 1) go into each item and select "Show it and make it available for trade" (in the 'availability' drop-in); 2) go back to your seed list and you should now see the grey checkmarks....click them to turn them green. (If you are in multiple swaps, make sure it is turned green under swap #12 column...that's this swap.

Let me know if you have other questions after that point! Smiling

Dave's video shows the easiest way to add seeds - just type the name into Your Swap List.
