Name: Susan

Hello, I have a question. I am moving from Pennsylvania to Texas and my mom wants to take her mature rose bushes. What is the best way to move the roses and how long can they be kept out of the ground?

I think it's best to cut them back hard when they're dormant (late fall/early winter), dig them up with as many roots as possible, pot them up or put the rootball in a lightly closed bag to keep them damp and plant out again asap.
