It's interesting to see what you're picking as your Top 3. I find it very hard to even do a Top 10 - much less a Top 3.

The Ultimate Sacrifice would be my top pick. It performed well in a year when most of my daylilies had short scapes and few buds. It's still reblooming this week.



Insider Trading had well-budded scapes and bloomed for a long time. The clump had multiple blooms for several weeks. I love the shade of red and the triangular throat on this one, and it held its color on most of the hottest days.


The Color of Wonderful had excellent rebloom and a nice increase this year. And the color is truly wonderful. Definitely my best pink this season.

No wonder so many of us are crazy over daylilies. So many colours, shapes and patterns. I love ISABELLE ROSE too. PINWHEEL PRINCESS is beeutiful eh. But the bright PRIMAL SCREAM and the subtle WILD ONE are hard to resist. Then it's nice to have others that tone in well with them ...

I don't know how I can decide on performance of mine as it varies so much. Looking at old pics I see that many of mine have flowered months away from where they had the previous year. Not surprising I suppose as here the rain can be absent for months then rain on and off for weeks. I now am using my rainwater tank so I can then mulch heavily.

I agree Bron. My daughter says mine all look alike. I've tried to explain their differences to no avail Of course she lets me bring her some though

Other than my own, these three were new this year
and preformed like they had been here forever. All
three rebloomed, and were pod and pollen fertile.

Here are my three favorites from this year. Two, Webster's Pink Wonder and Clarification were new for me this year. The third, Valedictorian is an old standby that performed particularly well this year.

I've been admiring Debra's Ultimate Sacrifice too, it's on my wish list. I was heavily considering buying Insider Trading, but I decided against it. Wish I hadn't, maybe next year. Love the color on The Color of Wonderful, rather unusual.

I have a 4th plant that I would like to share. It is an older one but it is always spectacular in the garden. Always blooms well year after year, even when I load it with seed pods.
