Well, I reserved the collection and will pick it up in February. I'm still debating on whether to get Dragonfly Dawn or not.

Ann I love that seedling. It has such and intense eye and edge and the pattern in the sepal is beautiful. Crossed with Jane's Dragonly Dawn I am sure would make some great blooms. I bet it stretches that eye out into a rainbow,. Hurray! Hurray!

Perhaps you can get it as a bonus? Otherwise, DD is a gorgeous flower.

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments about the seedling. I have four seedlings from this cross and all were worth keeping for another year.

For those that love Bullfrog Kisses, it is in the Trimmer's catalog for $50, which is less than it is going for on the LA right now. That one is one I am definitely going to order. I have to be patient for a couple of years on their intros, but they have some absolutely gorgeous daylilies ~j

Trimmer daylilies always do well for me. I just love them. Parrots Hilton is still blooming here. I think it may be over after this bloom. There are a few more buds, but I fear she is running out of time.

My order from Dan Trimmer arrived today. I usually don't show plants I have purchased, but I thought Jane & Dan deserve some attention for their hard work.

BAJA CALIFORNIA – will get a good look this spring……..

When plants arrive this fresh there is less chance of losing them

Great looking plants, Lyle. The Trimmers always send great plants. We have Dragonfly Dawn and one of Jane's recent intros., Twiggy's Lavender, coming in late March. I also wanted to get his double Cranberry Christmas. My reluctance in ordering is that I would like to see another picture of it in another garden first. We are going to the Florida Mecca this May and maybe it will be blooming when we go to their garden.

They look so healthy. Lyle I notice you have single fans planted up. Have you noticed any difference in the single VS Double fans vigor?

When I get single fans from Dan, they are always nice and large and healthy. This gives them plenty of vigor to multiply. I think the size and health makes the difference in single fans.

Lyle,
Nice order and bonus plant. I have three coming from Dan this spring, Baja California, Ehren Thomas and Dragonfly Dawn.

Steph - I think daylilies should sold as double fans, or 2 fans, but this is not always the case with new introductions, this is why before spending $100 on a daylily a person should know and understand the needs of daylilies. I have had one fan die and the second survive this only takes long for the plant to increase, and you didn't get a very good deal, you paid for a double fan and only got a single fan, but you still have a daylily opposed to a single fan dies you have to go thru the hassle of contacting the vender.

Dot – That is a very nice group you have. It looks like Dragonfly Dawn is a real pod pony should work well for you, and Ehren Thomas another one with Willie Marcus in the background – let’s hope WM passes on that good sunfast color to its sibs. Baja California should work well with about anything, I have found with Spanish Fiesta (a full sib to Carol Todd) to throw more lavenders, than orange, or red eyes and edges. It will be interesting to see which direction BC will go with its offspring’s, with SF as the pollen parent.

This is what I have got from Spanish Fiesta
