Nope, never saw any other leaf growing out of it, it just grows like that, like a candle.

Hi Lynn! I did thought it was a Senecio articulatus, the only thing is that the shape of the leaves as shown on the link you shared and on the other photos online that I saw is not similar to what I see on my plant. I took some more photos earlier today (30 Oct), there seems to be some growth that looks like its leaves. I have always seen this plant growing just like sticks. It does not show this growth before:

Tarev have you posted it on the Plant ID forum? http://garden.org/forums/view/...
I think we have a better chance of an ID there. It may be that your just never has put on any mature leaves, they can change in appearance when the get larger. : )

Yeah, maybe it just has not grown full mature leaves... Big Grin oh well, right now it is busy yielding some flowers too, so fine by me hehe! Sometimes my succulents are a bit temperamental. We are having very nice weather this past few days and the succulents are enjoying them quite well:-)

Happy Halloween!

So difficult to tell sometimes when some of them look so different in their immature form than when mature. And, of course, the variable growing conditions.

Is that a tiny yellow flower in the top photo of the leaves?

Thanks for the link Tee. The flower looks different as well from the one I have. This one has yellow outer colors not red.

Hurray! Wahoo tarev. Good job of finding your plant. That looks like a perfect match. From the stalks, to the blooms and the leaves. Thumbs up
Now you can add it to the database and earn more acorns. Hurray!

They sure are Hetty. Do you have senecio plants.

Tarev, can you get a photo even closer to the flower. I would love to see more of the detail. It is just so fascinating.

Succulents have some of the most beautiful and interesting flowers there are, IMHO.
