Has anyone bought from Celestialcity on the LA? I have purchased from her before she sent nice plants. Well I saw that she was selling her intros from last year and this year so I will have five of them coming in spring. She is from Indiana so those plant should do well here, They are Dream Of You, Denim And Lace, Northwood Locked And Loaded plus two toothy ones Northwood Nail Biter and Raggedy Man.

Keep watching her auctions she may offer raggedy man again. I like getting newer daylilies from new to me hybridizers in the north not to mention they were very affordable to my budget.

On the bidding. Since they give a five minute window, it at least is not like sniping on EBAY. I usually find if somebody really wants something, they are watching. I pick my price ahead of time on 95% of things. Check what the item has sold for and mabe put in a max bid about 5$ more. If no one else bids against you, its not like you have to pay your max price, and if they do, they know your serious and to be ready. I have saved much $$$ this way, as I do tend to be an emotional bidder and things can get out of hand fast, if you up against another one of 'you'

Is Cheryladay an ok seller? She has over 2000 reviews and looks to be all positive. She is in New Richmond, OH.

Can't afford a lot of the newer plants but just bought a bunch of seeds from more recent releases. It'll take a few years to see what I get but I can wait. Does anybody know if there are Canadian sellers of plants on the LA and how to find them? If I find plants I can afford I don't want to end up paying double the price with phyto. certificates.

I have purchased from Cheryladay too...great person to buy from!! I did not purchase the optional insurance. I think I would only do that if it was an extremely large or expensive order.

Where do you go to purchase the optional insurance? I've never been offered any insurance, what is it for?

Susan, if you read toward the bottom of Cheryladay's auction descriptions it offers the insurance and says the cost of it. You would have to let her know that you want it added.
It covers your package from loss or damage, however, from what I've read there are a few ifs, ands, or buts to it; it's not as simple as if your package is lost/stolen you get a refund or if the contents of the package is damaged/ destroyed you get a refund. If USPS considers the items not packaged properly they will deny the claim. Also,you only get purchase price refunded and not shipping

The post office here always ask if you want the package insured. UPS and FEDEX automatically insure the first 100$

I found Cherylady but she is from Ohio not here in Canada. Is there a way to search for a particular seller like Spiderjoe? I can't seem to find it if there is.
