Yah, like when animals eat fermented berries. Funny, but not healthy for cats and dogs. Our squirrels all seem to manage to electrocute themselves in the electrical transformer out back. Pow, lights and everything go out, dead squirrel swan dives from the transformer. I think it has happened at least 4 times since we moved here year before last. Needless to say, the squirrel population is down.

A refridgerator of beer'near' the garden might attract visitors like me!..Dont feed 'big birds' beer in the garden-'they get a bit punchy',.,.no, seriously, i give my 2 pet galahs an occasional sip of beer,for the last 12 years and ive given the slugs and snails massive sips of beer for the last 20 years-they love it to death!

Anthony, are your galahs pets or are they wild there? Sorry if that's a silly question, but I don't know much about Tasmania! (looking forward to learning about it, though...)

I have 2 pet galahs[which are wild birds] and a Sulphur Crested Cockatoo[50 years old], who was left to me.

This one here is as mean as a rattlesnake,although he has an appreciation for me after i nursed him back from near death after snailbait poisoning[appropriate for this thread]-it was very upsetting
